Madrid, June 1st, 2022 – Arnaiz, a leading firm in urban planning and global real estate development, has been awarded the contract to draft the General Urban Plan for Ajalvir, as well as to carry out the complementary studies necessary for its processing and approval processes. This document will provide one of the municipalities with the greatest industrial and logistic projection in the Community of Madrid with a new planning instrument in accordance with current urban legislation.
The awarding of this public tender, issued by the Consistory of Ajalvir, a city with excellent communications through the M-50, the Radial 2 and the M-100 and very close to the Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport and the A-2, represents an unbeatable opportunity to expand the supply of industrial and residential land in this municipality of almost 5,000 inhabitants, and to protect its environmental and heritage values.
In the words of Gustavo Romo García, Director of Urban Planning of the firm Arnaiz: “We offer the City Council of Ajalvir our knowledge and experience in urban planning so that this General Plan will be the seed to turn Ajalvir into one of the focal points of economic activity in the Northeast of the Community of Madrid”.
Once this contract has been awarded, Arnaiz will begin the drafting of the Ajalvir General Plan, as well as the performance of the complementary studies necessary for its processing and approval. It is estimated that this Plan could be approved in 4 years.
