Madrid, March 30th, 2022 – Arnaiz, a leading firm in urban planning and global real estate development, is in charge of managing the Valgrande Compensation Board, as well as drafting its land reparcelling and urbanization projects. President and Manager of this compensation board, Leopoldo Arnaiz, has participated this morning at the conference “Present and future of urban developments in the Community of Madrid”, organized by the College of Civil Engineers of Madrid (CICCP) and the Association of Real Estate Developers of Madrid (ASPRIMA).
During his speech, Leopoldo Arnaiz explained the keys to the Valgrande project, a new urban development that completes Alcobendas on its border with the capital, and which stands out especially for its “strategic location”, in the north of Madrid, close to university centers and next to a natural environment such as Monte de Valdelatas, which the project intends to protect and expand.
The president of Arnaiz pointed out that Valgrande advocates becoming a new residential neighborhood in Alcobendas, which is integrated with the current city, always in harmony with the natural setting of the area. A “balanced” project is proposed, which completes and integrates within the aforementioned Madrid municipality. In addition, the project seeks to offer a solution to the housing shortage problem in this town and in the metropolitan area of Madrid, through the construction of 8,600 homes, 55% of which will be subsidized.
Another of the keys to Valgrande is sustainability, one of its strategic axes. The project aims to protect and respect the entire natural environment of the area, and also to develop a pioneering Smart Cities model, incorporating all kinds of actions in terms of emissions, energy efficiency and waste management.
This event took place in the facilities of the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (CICCP) in the city of Madrid. The conference was also attended by Mariano Fuentes, Delegate of the Urban Development Area of the Madrid City Council; José María García, Deputy Vicecouncilor of Housing and Territorial Planning of the Community of Madrid; Juan Antonio Gómez-Pintado, President of Asprima; Rafael Magro, Dean of the CICCP; Javier Munárriz, Technical Director of the Management Commission Nueva Centralidad del Este; Domingo Menéndez, Manager of the Valdecarros Compensation Board; and Sandra Daza, General Manager of Gesvalt.
